Such a cool kid. If you watch the full interview, his dad is really supportive, too. While I can picture Mick Foley being supportive of this kid and his protest, I don't think most of his "wrestling brethren" are particularly pro-gay.

“We know many ways of producing clean water, from distillation, bombarding it with UV, filtration, extraction from humidity in air, reverse osmosis, or you know, proper sewage systems that are distinct from the fresh water sources.Scientists can't really do much about the costs of deploying these solutions, except for finding cheaper ways to build solar cells for the energy required to perform the distillation/UV light/reverse osmosis/etc, because at the places water is most needed, there isn't an abundance of cheap clean fuel. Finally getting fusion to work will also help, as will any other technology that will reduce CO2 and thereby reduce the displacement of people due to climate change.

I suffered through an episode of "The Hills" with my girlfriend yesterday. It is the worst thing since the Holocaust..
This just in: Giant super computer calculating solution to global warming ends up proving that global warming is real, and has sped up the process by 6,700 years. Should have used solar power.!

MTV sold its soul for rock and roll, oh wait it's the opposite of that statement.?
I think some folks might be missing the point.Chrome OS is not for running Call of Duty or Photoshop. It's not for running SETI or downloading torrents or plugging in your camera and dumping all your photos. If you want to do that, you're already running an OS that can. Chrome isn't trying to do that, so you're missing the point of dumping on it because it's not Windows/OS X.Chrome is for flipping open your netbook or laptop, counting to three, and being connected to the net. It'll run on super light (read: inexpensive) systems, it'll be free and will fill a space that Windows and OS X have a hard time reaching into. And this, frankly, is where Google belongs: Internet/browser stuff. It's not meant to replace your main OS. It's meant to supplement it. You don't have to say "***** Chrome OS" because nobody's trying to steal your favorite OS away from you and make you use it.Short version: Settle down. |

Are you insane or just an idiot? How was the driver supposed to know it was a cop car, especially with the lower-profile light-bar? Judging the speed of oncoming traffic is the most difficult to do and if the cop hadn't been driving twice the speed limit, they would have made it just fine.Without his lights flashing, the teen driver had no reasonable expectation that the oncoming car was going 90 MPH and wouldn't have been able to tell when they committed to the turn. Considering they had almost cleared the intersection, had the cop been going a reasonable speed, they would have made it through. The cop is clearly negligent and at fault and should have had his flashing lights on if he needed to do 90 mph on a 45 mph speed limit road.

The law of unintended consequences doesn't get any more tragic than it did in this case.
