| I agree with you completely. Having just quit smoking myself (about 2 months ago), I will say that the addiction, which cigarette companies worked very hard to enhance, is very, very real.I do think the amount is a bit absurd. $300 million? Seriously, was there a single smoker on the jury? |

Lose the annoying friend NPCs that call you and want to do *****.
Tom Waits has more cool in his discarded nail clippings than all the artists on the Top 10 hits list put together.

I kid you not, people I know were claiming the first movie was one of the best of all time. They even invoked such terms as "cinematography", "editing", "compelling performances," and "great screenplay".

Samsung Moment user here. I love it. Made the switch from the Pre the day they came out. Aside from the crazy battery issues out of the box, which were solved by a factory reset on the first try, I have no complaints. Android walks all over the iPhone UI, aside from the multi-touch and tethering, which will be included in an update soon enough. Screen is awesome. Real and excellent keyboard. Loud as hell. Almost too customizable. App store is not lacking for anything but games, imo, and there's still plenty of those..

There is hope for the criminals yet. Just because they got GT-Rs does not mean Abu Dhabi cops can suddenly drive. |

That ga doesn't mean is. Ga at the end of a noun is a subject marker. The verb would be at the end of the sentence, but it isn't there. And that "direct" - jigjeob as you romanize it, doesn't mean "to direct" it isn't a verb, it is an adjective as in: "Proceeding without interruption in a straight course or line." Direct as you describe it in Korean is 지도하다, or Chidohada.

Meh, as long as they don't occupy any of the buildings in which I have classes. They're being self-entitled brats who are protesting for the sake of rebellion and because they want their education to be subsidized by the state. I would actually support a low-cost/free public higher education system like that of some European countries and I am aware that it would involve higher taxes, but such tax laws would still take time to take effect and gather the needed revenue and the budget crisis is a current issue. So until we turn California into a socialist utopia, the money has to come from somewhere and that means higher fees. Also, their strategy of occupying buildings and disrupting university administrative functions seems to be modeled after protests at Berkeley in the early 60's. The problem is that those protests were about the university forbidding students from protesting, so they made sense in a way. These protests are about not wanting to pay money, but the students skip out on the classes they already paid for and cost the university money as they disrupt operations or break stuff. Where's the sense in that?Full-disclosure: as a veteran, my education is fully-funded by veterans' education benefits, so the fee increase will not negatively impact my education. Perhaps my opinion is less relevant as a result, hence this disclosure.

This reminds me of the Myspace intervention, only it's not funny. Swaim should stick to being a funny writer, not terrible writer/actor.

I agree with the article in that I can't see Chrome OS taking off in the short to mid term unless the ARM devices Chrome will come on are so insanely cheap that people won't care about the laundry list of limitations. |
