Thats actually what just happened to me i called expecting a direct to voicemail thing and when he answered i was shocked i love how i met your mother and for him to do something like that shows hes a nice guy
My cat will scratch the hell out of her scratching post, her cardboard scratcher, and the old rug we've expressly allowed her to use, but she doesn't scratch anything else in the house. Making her toys appealing and a firm "NO!" if she tries to scratch at anything off limits is enough to keep her in line. We still trim her claws semi-regularly so that she doesn't accidentally pick at the bedspread or couch when she jumps up on the furniture. While trimming used to be a miserable experience for everyone involved, after two years she now sits patiently and even purrs while the trimming takes place. My cat is a frisky, wild thing and we are first-time pet owners, and yet it really wasn't that hard to do the humane thing and teach her what is acceptable behavior and what isn't.

Actually I like that reference, technology is improving constantly and handicap people are getting closer to adapting with their limitations and performing with their peers. It may come to the point when a handicap person should be labeled as a 'able bodied' (or similiar referene) to show he has assistance but it helps overcome his limitation.?
"do you have any idea how awesome it is to be in a class of almost all very young, nubile, limber, and tight-clothed ladies with you."...who all think you're gay. |

Kimberly-Clark buying 'green' power and using envioronmentally friendly sources for pulp is good. At least it shows that they care. It doesn't do much for their bottom line, though...it's costing them extra...!! They won't get the real (economic) benifit of 'going green' until they modernize their old-style (dirty, energy-intensive and chemical-intensive) processes. It may look like a huge task, but if they worked to develop the new methods using enzymes for pulp processing and 'bleaching', they could make more money. It would mean using less heat, chemicals and water, it would use less energy and do less envioronmental damage. It would be a total 'win', if they would just make the effort...!!Here's the latest info on using enzymes to make paper (pdf)...http://www.fpl.fs.fed.us/documnts/pdf2003/kenea03a ... |
