That's the way my friends and I felt. Fortunately, we got together to do a four pack. Left 4 Dead 2 is worth it, but we weren't sure we got our investment out of L4D1. We weren't willing to pay 50 (45 preorder) bucks, but we were willing to go in together and get the preorder/4-pack discount. That brought the game to around 33 bucks for each of us. That we were willing to pay.

I didn't care for the oysters, but the buffalo was the best meat I have ever tasted in my life! The rattlesnake dip was delicious as well.

Puppy torture. They tied him to that water bowl and eventually with his lack of strength kept dunking himself. Puppy version of waterboarding. I also like his little brother that was under the camera like "NOOO, let my brother go. I'll tell you what you want to know." And then when he notices the humans aren't listening he starts to drink the water like "I'll save you brother, if i drink all this water you won't be water boarded anymore." Its late, sorry.!

The game is good. I am enjoying it. I still think it should have (even sold as a standalone game) come with the ability to "plug into" L4D1 including a degree of compatibility.
I liked the 2004 version. It's not the best movie ever. It didn't have the best acting and since you know what the plot is mainly about it hard to be surprised, but it's good for it's type of movie.
