FTA:"Cindy admitted her fault to the jury," her attorney, Robert W. Kelley, said in a statement. "But Philip Morris refused to accept any responsibility for her emphysema, even though she was an addicted customer for 25 years."Ok, so she's been hooked since 1984? Look, I've never smoked a cigarette in my 37 years and think the whole thing is disgusting. However, when did Phillip Morris/Altria start putting warnings on their cigarette cartons? Better yet, when was it public knowledge that cigarettes were bad for you? *****, 25 years ago I was 12 and knew damn well that cigarettes kill.I think $300 million is ***** ridiculous. Let's just put it like this: If warnings were on cigarette packages before 1984, she should get nothing as far as I'm concerned. Even if they weren't, I think it was common knowledge at that point that they're bad for you. But assuming there were no warnings back then, I'd give her an award of *substantially* less than $300 million.
Well, yeah, the guy has neck tattoos, what did you expect?

By its very definition terrorism strikes at targets in order to spread a since of fear and doubt. It doesn't matter if the target is an elementary school in Russia or train station in Spain or a military complex where most of the personnel are unarmed.

Being watched as a terrorist when you're a peaceful protester seems like an abuse of power. I'm all for using the cameras to watch for suspected people, but when you're making nearly anyone a suspect, it's a bit much. They should create some kind of criteria of what a suspect is - though that would probably get hazy rather quickly too. I'm not sure how I feel about this, I like that they're using the cameras to watch for suspects, but I don't like that pretty much anyone can become a suspect - even those who aren't really causing trouble. Peaceful protests now, all free opinion later? Where are the limits?
