Continuous track have some significant disadvantages for the purpose of a remote probe. They add extra weight which makes the launch and landing more expensive.Mostly they are prone to getting jammed up with junk. This isn't a problem for a multi tonne bulldozer with a multi kilowatt power plant that can pretty much crush and brute force away all but the worst blockages. For a light, low energy machine like spirit and opportunity this brute force approach to clearing the tracks is not an option. And finally, if the track breaks the probe is pretty much stuck,A multi wheel system is a more efficient way to approach the problem. With multiple, independently driven wheels, you have a nice redundancy factor. Wheels are less likely to jam up with random junk.A better way to approach the current problem for future probes is to add some mechanism where the wheels can be locked up and the whole unit can be "walked" out of the sand. Although this does add more mechanical bits to fails it does allow for more complex terrain traversal.
There isn't a single stadium on this list that can compare with an average venue in Argentina, Brazil, Turkey, Spain, Italy, etc .....If they were going to restrict it to North America, then they could have at least saved the number one spot for Mexico City's Azteca. For those of you who have never watched a sports event outside the US before, and consider your stadiums to be intimidating:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YQgZU-coXQhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ndV-zZRVCAhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dtJ_u9Ma3Q

“Glenn Beck needs to stop committing crimes against women, assuming said crimes occurred. I'm not making an accusation but stating my opinion on the hypothetical.

Digg me down for being a dick, but who is "forcing" him to live like that? If my options were to live on the street for free, or live in a place like that for $150 a month, I think I'd choose to have a roof over my head. Sure, I would want to afford a better place, but where does the "forcing" come in?.
Supercroc? Freaking awesome.Sounds like the start to a spinoff of the greatest monster movie of all tam: http://tinyurl.com/ykm8xyoOf all tam!!

He has a debilitating bone disease that causes extreme pain, and pot relieves that pain while allowing him to function normally. It's called "taking medicine"...?
Unless it's in a text book or some other reference, sentences can start any damn way the author pleases.Do you think Mark Twain's writings are grammatically correct? Is all dialog in a novel written in complete or correct sentences?Apparently, no one needs any hands to count how many books you've actually read. |

Why don't you go take your political ideology to some other appropriate thread, and let those of us that want to honor this soldier and our military do so in peace. You are being very disrespectful to our fallen heroes.
