| All the holier-than-thou stuff is a bit tired. If the alternatives are declaw a cat or send it to the pound, where it will likely get killed, would you really choose the pound. Declawing a cat is not something I would do lightly, but my wife's cat is a little terror with the claws. She is one of those cats that will accept your petting for an unspecified length of time and then suddenly and without warning turn around and claws you for no particular reason. She likes to hide under things and run out and claw your foot. And I lived with her for a long time like that, and dealt with the pain. But then we had a baby. We gave the cat one strike, and sure enough, it didn't take too long before it decided to put a scratch on my kid's arm and he started bawling. Would the next scratch be on his face, or his eye? Would my kid grow up fearing cats? So hell yeah, we got the cat declawed. And you know what, not only was she not traumatized, she has actually become a nicer cat now. So you people that are going to downvote me, would you have sacrificed the well-being of your baby to avoid declawing your cat? Would you have given your cat to the pound knowing that she will likely die? Is it worth outlawing declawing entirely knowing that that will likely be the alternative? |

The worst out of 100 healthy foods? Wouldn't that just be the least healthy of the top 100 healthy foods? not necessarily bad. Unless you are one of these Hollywood waifs.
Yes, but having built in biometrics is the killer application. Imagine being a diabetic that can simply look at their tattoo to see their insulin levels.

“The problem of overpopulation is usually solved as soon as a country progresses to the "first world". Well-educated, financially stable, middle-class parents don't pop out kids by the dozens.

"terrorist groups like Al Qaeda aren't the sharpest pencils in the cup" - I don't find that too surprising. Being a good hacker requires critical thinking skills and a passion for understanding the world around you in a scientific way. I doubt that's very compatible with religious fundamentalism, especially when a good deal of their recruits come from the other side of the digital divide..
They may be impervious to human "mad cow disease", but at what future genetic price? Europeans who survived the black death because of genetic immunity now have to deal with the "cost: Those genes, still carried by many today, raise the risks of heart disease, diabetes and hypertension." from: http://www.vancouversun.com/health/Genes+that+save ...Be interesting to see...!

I'm shocked he emails customers at all. That's kind of cool. Gabe Newell of Valve does the same thing, only his emails are hilarious.Example: http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/5512/851068-p ...

I know. Fact: Oil, however abundant, will not last forever. Period. We need to develop renewable energy. Can we take a little time to do so? Sure. But waiting to even research it is stupid. It WILL be needed, the question is when. And the longer the amount of time we've put into development the better it will be on the day we do need it. Common Sense.

If these types of provisions were written into any contract on wall street, the corp execs would be doing the perp walk for national television.
