How To Feed The World:1) Decrease the human population down to a level sustainable by the planet.2) Stop humans from committing the atrocity of war as well as generally killing and hating one another. This would open up transportation routes for sharing food. Astonishingly, this would also decrease the incentive for humans to become baby machines.3) Grow food using sustainable techniques that are safe for the planet, as opposed to the BS 'Green Revolution' methods that have destroyed cropland and lives for decades. It sure would be nice if this would happen. Will it? If we will it. Sadly, we have politicians and biznizzes incentivizing doing things exactly the wrong way for short term profit and long term harm.
Ben Foster was awesome in the old school Flash Forward. You know, the one with Jewel Statie. And you're awesome if you remember that show.

The sales people are true for almost every store in Asia.. they pay them maybe $5 a day so they can afford to have as many sales people as they have customers, and the sales people follow you around.I went to a major department store and one lady followed me around the whole time picking up everything and telling me to try it on, and she wouldn't take no for an answer... and if I touched anything to look at she would go crazy with excitement.. it's like that in every store.I have been to stores where there are more employees than there are customers... One small store I went to had 15 employees and maybe 3 customers walking around.?
I have to admit, it'd be hard to convince me to keep that bike. |

Saipan is Chamorro. Other flags have flown there but it belongs to the Chamorro people. It was claimed by Spain in the 1600s and ended up in German hands in the late 1800s. Germany lost her Pacific territories after WWI and it was awarded to Japan by the League of Nations in 1922. In the 1930s Saipan was heavily fortified and garrisoned by the Japanese- against the League of Nations mandate. The native Chamorro were used as slave labor for construction and to run sugarcane plantations and mills. Many Japanese civilians were moved onto the island for skilled labor and because there was land but they were in NO WAY NATIVE to Saipan. Native Chamorro that could fled the gentle embrace of Japanese occupation and went to Guam.Nearby Guam was a US territory and was never fortified according to League of Nations rules. When the Japanese landed in 1941, the heaviest weapon on the island were .30 caliber machine guns owned by the Marine garrison. |
