The problem isn't that we don't have enough food or enough resources. We just have too many people. Unfortunately, nobody's stepping up to address that problem. I'll note that most if not all first world countries have stable reproduction rates currently. Worldwide population increases are coming from impoverished regions. Perhaps a program to distribute contraceptives would be more effective in the long run than a program to distribute food?
