Would have been awesome if it didn't spend 90% of the 35 second video showing divers swimming downward to what we are lead to believe is an unbelievable site.. and 3.5 seconds of glancing shots of the actual "river".
is that a gay joke, fail?

Wow! What great music! = /http://www.explosm.net/db/files/Comics/Matt/UNCE-U ....
This is how you know you're living in a bad sci-fi nightmare police state. They're pieces of glass.I swear to god the United States has fallen into serious disrepair, all their efforts and money gone to harassing their own citizens for coming into contact with the planet. Equating marijuana with crack cocaine with methamphetamine with mushrooms...trust me, two of these things don't belong with the others. At least that scientist in the UK had the balls to tell the government their policies are completely wack and that more people die from cigarettes than ***** LSD for chrissakes.World make me sad sometimes. I wonder if money power will always win over reason or what?!

Damn, beat me to the punch line....?
Having just produced a film on the D5 Mark II, for my submission for Werner Herzog's Rogue Film School, I totally empathize with what the article is talking about. But the thing is, where before the argument was that you had to spend $25,000 on a RED, now you can get pretty amazing footage on a camera like the D5 for a fraction of the cost. It saved me a ton of cash to not have to rent a RED kit at $800 a day.I was extremely skeptical of using a D5, but after doing our location work with it, I was blown away. It's not for every use, and there are problems with focus depth of field issues and zoom, but if you know how to control it, it's an amazing piece of technology that serves the budget and the story. But the article is right in stating the obvious, cameras will not make up for a ***** story, ***** sound, or ***** acting. You could make a film from the damn iPhone 3GS if you had a compelling enough story, but it just makes it where independent producers like myself can compete in a way that we haven't been able to before. Call me crazy, but I still believe that people like beautiful images that serve a story. The new crop of DSLR cameras allow for no compromise in what I want to put on screen. But I do agree with the above. We recorded our sound separately. Canon needs to get off their ass on providing a better audio solution. |

I just looked up the definition of "gratuity":graâ‹…tuâ‹…iâ‹…ty1. a gift of money, over and above payment due for service, as to a waiter or bellhop; tip.2. something given without claim or demand. So yes, mandatory gratuity is an oxymoron. The restaurant demand the gratuity, even though by definition it's something given without demand. Not possible. I'm sure this will be their defense in court.

The money needs to come from somewhere. Cutting taxes for the companies means raising taxes in another location. Who do you propose we raise taxes for instead?
