Funny. Polls are biased when a Republican is elected. But when its a Democrat, its legit. You know, things wouldn't be this way if Republicans could handle constructive criticism. But they cant and given the way things are going now, probably never will.
Yes, it's most likely Illinois.I'm in Chicago, and almost every single construction zone has a $375 MINIMUM fine. Highways (such as I-88) seem to have been under construction for the past decade, and they now have high speed cameras that send automated tickets to you in the mail. The tickets include photos of the driver's face so that they can't fight it in court. I saw 2 people in the past month speeding on a highway wearing masks :) ...one clown mask, and one hockey mask. But I do enjoy a good spelling error on road signs. Took me a minute to realize what was wrong with the picture! See so many of those signs that I just overlooked it :)

“Will it play games with heavy graphics requirements? No?Will it allow me to boot up an IDE? No?If I don't like Chrome, can I load up FF? No?Can I use it to play DVD or Blu-Ray? No?Sorry. I would rather have a full-fledged laptop that can, you know, do stuff.

It's rather simple. It's true of most industry in this country. The large telecom companies won't push broadband into areas they can't make at least 30% profit from. It took government intervention to get rural electrification in the 1930s. And since most people who have access to broadband only can get it from one provider, the issue of lack of competition is huge. Even where there is competition, prices seem set with 5mb/s going for roughly $50/month. Ever since the government relinquished control of the Internet back in the early 90s, they have really stayed away from regulating it. As a result, we have one of the lowest broadband penetration, the lowest broadband bandwidth and the highest costs of any industrialized country. Leaving it to totally the private sector has not gotten us very far. If we want to be better than 20th, it's going to take government intervention.

Go to Target and buy the "Big Box" of Junior Mints. That thing will last the entire movie and is only a couple of bucks.

I think if a company that was making hardware and it could do a job for the company making it, it would be bad marketing (at the very least) to not use that hardware. It's like a dog food company that has owners who have dogs and they don't feed them their dog food. |
