Actually Windows 7 "starts up" in under 3 sec from stand by. Who shuts down a PC? The only time I ever restart it is after a update that requires it. But its Google, so I guess have to drink the kool aid.

the opposition to healthcare reform has *nothing* to do with cost or irrational fears. Its about making Obama fail. Its one of Obama's signature issues. The GOP wants him to fail so they can elect another rubber stamp.
This is stupid

What did people do before flu mania?.
Glad they are gone. I already have to slog through way too many game reviews, and theirs just sucked.!

As I understand it (and please correct me if I'm wrong), Chrome OS will be very focused on web-based applications, which is where most of Google's business lies. It's supposed to be very lightweight and aimed at devices like netbooks. That sounds like it would not be a very good operating system for applications like gaming. So why is there speculation that Chrome OS might dethrone Windows? It sounds like like Google is going for a niche market, and not so much coming up with a general purpose OS.

Never have liked foobar, even though I've tried it multiple times.1) Looks terrible out of the box. After about 2 hours of massive re-skinning and fiddling I got it to look quite good, but almost none of the functions worked as they were supposed to.2) Library and playlist management is terrible, took me another 30 minutes to get the playlist working close to what I wanted, still couldn't drag and drop songs though.3) It reads ID3 tags horribly, I had to change them manually for almost every album I had.4) Sorting by album name, artist and so on didn't work for me. I admit that that was probably my own fault and I just couldn't find the correct button.5) CD cover art was really complicated to change and it didn't read it from the ID tags, so I had to get new cover art for most of my albums. After all that *****, I just decided that foobar can go and ***** themselves and went back to winamp.

Now if Netflix would finally get on board with captioning too my life would be complete. Seriously Netflix, it's been like a year now since you announced it, let's get a move on!

Kimberly-Clark buying 'green' power and using envioronmentally friendly sources for pulp is good. At least it shows that they care. It doesn't do much for their bottom line, though...it's costing them extra...!! They won't get the real (economic) benifit of 'going green' until they modernize their old-style (dirty, energy-intensive and chemical-intensive) processes. It may look like a huge task, but if they worked to develop the new methods using enzymes for pulp processing and 'bleaching', they could make more money. It would mean using less heat, chemicals and water, it would use less energy and do less envioronmental damage. It would be a total 'win', if they would just make the effort...!!Here's the latest info on using enzymes to make paper (pdf)...http://www.fpl.fs.fed.us/documnts/pdf2003/kenea03a ...
