Cy&H is SO hit and miss....
It's tragic, and two kids are dead. If drunk driving homicides made front page every time they happen, perhaps people would think twice when they claim to be good to drive. Also, Just think about how many people have been screwed over before dash cams were installed.

If you burn a customer (whether they deserve it or not) then you cannot expect to ever see them (or their money) again..

I have maintained that the best way (economincal/enviromentally friendly/etc) to solve the US population problem is to give a cash reward of some economically calculated amount for volunteering to get tubes tied ($500-$2000?, depending on age) or vasectomy ($300-$1000?). If you think about it, that solves several problems at once.In 3rd world countries, the project cost would be drastically less to have a similar effect (lower cost for procedure and much lower reward needed for effective volunteer turnout).?
Jaywalkers don't have license plates. And if the cameras are meant for more than traffic control then lets cut the BS with the naming of them. |

FTA "U.S. strategy for Afghanistan, focused partly on Pakistan which Washington sees as a necessary ally, has been criticized as ignoring the concerns of regional countries such as India, which competes with Islamabad for influence in Kabul."I thought India stays away from these matters.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no luddite. But what are we likely to learn from this stuff, that will have concrete benefits, other than updating physics textbooks, in the near term? Because we "could" spend the billions on technology that will definitely make a real difference, in our lifetimes. Like making solar power affordable & widely distributed, for instance. We can still build the next LHC ten years from now...when we will be better able to afford it.
