| What a tragedy that a culture which practised human sacrifice and had neither writing nor the wheel should be replaced by the culture that would land on the moon. |

Snails are not really all that different from mussels, clams, or oysters. What's really weird is that I hear people in some places eat these giant sea insects. What are they called? . . . lobsters I think.
i just imagined 3D in porn...and i just......nothing you perverts, you cant feel *****!

“Man, I had to read that one a few times. It means that Tarou bought a book in addition to some other activity, which might have been buying something else, or might have been some other action other than buying. Because of the implication of "additionality" (just made up that word), the most likely context is that he'd bought something else. But there could be other actions, though to bother using "mo" there'd need to be some kind of implication of "additionality". Like say if it was a library where you could either borrow or buy books, you might be able to say "The children all borrowed comics. Tarou also bought a book".I think you're right about the usage not being identical across the two languages, but in this case I think what matters is getting to the same functionality by some means or other. I've had a couple too many beers to be confident about that, though.

Ironic: Yamaha may have designed the cabin acoustics, yet the vehicles Yamaha already makes still sound way better than the LF-A.Case in point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHavuAfZD7o.
I think it's clear that Officer Anderson was doing at least 90, probably on a street with a 40 MPH speed limit. Without sirens, or flashing lights, and without any legitimate reason for driving so fast. It's really shameful. If he had seen a civilian driver doing that, he'd pull the driver over and take him straight to jail. The cop deserves to be convicted of vehicular manslaughter. Officer Pisano has no business being a cop any more, either. The whole police department should be investigated, to figure out why the hell their officers think it's okay to speed around at 90 MPH just for fun.But I have to say it, the other car was driven by an inexperienced teenager who should not have been behind the wheel that night, because he or she had been drinking. He or she turned directly into oncoming traffic. At the time when he or she started the turn, Anderson was maybe 30 yards away from the intersection -- clearly visible, and much too close for the kid to be starting a left turn, even if the officer hadn't been speeding.!

Maybe if Saddam didn't clear out all of Iraq's prisons prior to our invasion, there would be no need for us to play policeman over there in the first place. Don't hate on the player, just hate the game. Especially when the players, in this case, are your countrymen and guardians.?

I think it is the way to go. I work in front of a PC almost all day long, and 90% of what I do is with applications in a browser. If they could put Excel in browser, it would be 100%. There are so many advantages with cloud applications -- stability, upgrades, security, portability, accessibility. The only thing that is really lacking vis a vis the desktop is rich media and performance. And much of that is what Chrome OS is all about. Personally, I welcome the Chrome OS overlords.

Who cares? Call them all terrorists if you want to, it makes no difference. Terrorism is not exclusive to Islam (IRA, McVeigh, Columbine, etc) but the fact that this guy was a Muslim jihadist is why the PC crowd is up in arms about him being declared a terrorist. This was all self-evident the moment the details came out about the Ft. Hood shooting. |
