| I didn't really care about these plans as I don't file share much. But the part about giving 'unprecedented powers handed to private entertainment companies' is really bad.I'm going to vote for the Lib Dems now :)For those who don't know, they are kind of like what the Labour party should be/was before it moved more towards the right wing. |

There's not much that can make me not like Obama. I voted for him, I disagree with him on some key issues, but overall I think he's doing the best job anyone can given the current state of things. But I swear on this issue - if the Obama administration comes out in support of ACTA, or does not come out opposed to it, I will personally make it a mission to do everything I can to make sure he will not be reelected in 2012. This treaty is absolutely unamerican, and not in the same sense that those idiots Hannity and Limbaugh love to spew... This is ABSOLUTELY UNAMERICAN.Our justice system is based on the principle of guilty until proven innocent. According to ACTA, there is no innocent. There is no appeal. There is no recourse. If you are *accused,* yes, only ACCUSED of infringing copyrights three times, you're internet access will be discontinued and you will be banned for life from the internet. Without a court order, without sufficient evidence, without even so much as an ounce of involvement from police or government officials, the MPAA, RIAA, and any other organization will have the power to BAN YOU FROM THE INTERNET FOR LIFE, at any time to anyone. These bastards are going too far with this, and the United States cannot fall to this absolutely horrific "treaty" that will become law without Congress, the President, or the will of the people. Speak up, and make sure you're congressmen are scared of you. Make damn sure they realize the significance and consequence of this terrible proposition.

“the south will NEVER EVER rise again. Just because you parade around the stars and bars and say stupid crap like that it is just heritage and not hate doesn't make it right. Do you think maybe your tradition is what is screwed up in the first place. So what if it is tradition, saying the South will rise again is a disgrace to every minority that is associated with that university. If you don't think so then you have no idea what that phrase means (think what exactly what has to happen and how things will change if the south does rise again- honestly) "Hey my school has a tradition of shooting a puppy first day of the school year" "But that is wrong" "Don't take away our tradition!"- from a lifelong southerner.

I've been waiting several years to have the chance to vote Liberal Democrat, i was just too young to vote in the last general election. With the unpopularity of Labour and the feeble, slimy and rather manipulative Conservative party (Promising an impossible referendum on the Lisbon Treaty was a crazy stunt) this should be a massive opportunity for the Lib Dems.Problem is Nick Clegg and the party have done NOTHING with one of their most prominent opportunities to get anywhere. They were doing far better with an alcoholic Scot in charge, at least he had some personality and was known. I don't remember the last time i saw or heard anything from Clegg. This leaves me in a massive conundrum. I don't want Labour to win again, they've proven that now they have nothing left to run for and i can't believe the number of databases and tracking schemes they seem to pass. The Conservatives are just sitting back, hoping to win based on this unpopularity and then i can see, in a few years time, they're going to turn into the classically unpopular Tories again. The Lib Dems have no spine and no policies. I hope the next few months will actually give me a reason to vote for someone..
was very interesting to see it under assembly, up until then I just figured it was painted lines on top of a solid background!

You do realize that Mad Cow Disease isn't the only prion related disease out there, right? Some forms are inherited.?
The steam pressure pushing out from the bird prevents too much oil from seeping in. Alton Brown proved this on Good Eats. He deep fried french fries and measured the oil in the pot before and after, I believe the fries only soaked up a tablespoon or something, it was pretty minimal. When all the water is cooked out that's when your food will start to absorb oil. |

In June 1944 Saipan was the location of savage battle during the liberation of the Marianas Islands. The Japanese had made fortresses out of the islands of Guam, Tinian, Rota and Saipan. The landings in the Marianas were so large and complex that they were called "the D-Days in the Pacific". The civilians were so indoctrinated by Japanese propaganda, at least a thousand jumped to their deaths out of fear rather than surrender to the American Marines- hence the name "Suicide Cliffs". Men, women and children. American veterans who saw it said that it will haunt them for the rest of their life.PFC Guy Gabaldon, a Mexican-American from Los Angeles, California, who was raised by Japanese-Americans, used a combination of street Japanese and guile to convince over a thousand soldiers and civilians alike that U.S. troops were not barbarians, and that they would be well treated upon surrender. For his outstanding bravery, Gabaldon received a Silver Star, which was upgraded to the Navy Cross. (see Wikipedia article)A little over a year later two B-29 bombers took off from airfields on Tinian and dropped the atomic bombs that ended the war.Maybe some places are so poisoned by innocent blood that they will never be right again.
