@ncmusic: I think he's talking about the shrinking federal deficit. Modern conservatives hate that *****, so Pres. Bush had to do something about it.
Am I seeing things or was the tailgate physically removed, the car stuffed and then it was laid against the back of the car and secured with rope?//also... how did they not hit any power lines as the drove around?

The Republicans always give lip service to fiscal responsibility, so much so that the term 'fiscal conservative' is now often equated with it (and falsely so). Following Reagan's conservative 'revolution' in 1980, a new political paradigm began to govern the country, one which sounded good, but as the last 30 years demonstrated, were a disaster.Starting in 1981, a policy known as 'starve the beast' was employed by the Republicans. This meant *purposefully* running up high deficits in order to try to force cuts in social programs. This was a disaster, and the national debt tripled under Reagan. Skipping ahead to today, we have seen the results of their economic philosophy of tax cuts for the rich, trickle-down, deregulation, and outsourcing good American jobs for short term corporate profits. The rich have become richer, and the illusion of prosperity has been bought by swelling debt thanks to the 'fiscally conservative' policies of the Republicans. Citations below.82% of National Debt Was Created by Republicans http://dotcommonsense.blog-city.com/82_of_national ...Fiscal conservative means borrow and spend, deficits by year http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/3056/nationaldebt ...Obama bans Republican gimmicks to hide real deficit, which will now appear to rise more http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/20/us/politics/20bu ...Fiscal 2009 deficit primarily cause by Bush policies http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2009/08/def ....
so we can hang his dumb ass!

This is just a "formality" on the part of Sony... every Brazilian with a passing interest in the PS2 already got one by other means, years ago. The same has been happening with the PS3 since its launch.?
It's just thin clients all over again. We've been there before and we'll be there again. This time it might actually work, but it's an endless cycle. |
