The MPAA is about to secure a huge victory in the UK. It's only a matter of time until they win/buy the votes they need in America as well."The legislation will open all doors for a digital police state where alleged pirates will be crucified by private companies."http://torrentfreak.com/uks-terrifying-anti-piracy ...

“I'm jealous. We had two similarly styled theaters (beer/wine & good food), but they both closed this year.

Wonderful people saying goodbye to a hero in their own way. Rest in peace Lcpl Shawn P. Hefner. You served your country with honor!.
dtr300, it is a concern. I do think the Obama Administration is too laid back in its reaction to outright treason. But then we went through this in 1860 too. Rather than be pro-active, the legitimate government of the United States of America waited for the traitors to fire the first shot. Then we kicked their asses. I hope they don't lose sight of that lesson.!

Yes. We need to bring everyone to a level of comfort, safety and education vaguely approximating that to that of, say, Romania. Imagine that, Bangladesh, India, China, Botswana, Madagascar, Egypt, Bolivia, Papua, all people having equivalent education, wealth, health care, creature comforts as the average Romanian. Which still isn't christmas, but it would be a lot better.PROBLEM is if we help people up to this level of affluence we instantly increase the level of pollution they put out. And that is a LOT of extra pollution. We must do this, if only to maintain stability, somewhere this century - but it will make a significant difference if we lift three to four billion out of endemic poverty than SIX to EIGHT billion. Remember - that many poor people is a limitless ocean of poor wage countries. If you make sure they are not low wage countries as soon as possible they become consumers of your products rather than competitors for your jawb. So, what's it gona be??
I didn't spend so much money, but my car is listed at #105, faster than an Audi S4, Porsche 911 Turbo and BMW M3. |

Continuous track have some significant disadvantages for the purpose of a remote probe. They add extra weight which makes the launch and landing more expensive.Mostly they are prone to getting jammed up with junk. This isn't a problem for a multi tonne bulldozer with a multi kilowatt power plant that can pretty much crush and brute force away all but the worst blockages. For a light, low energy machine like spirit and opportunity this brute force approach to clearing the tracks is not an option. And finally, if the track breaks the probe is pretty much stuck,A multi wheel system is a more efficient way to approach the problem. With multiple, independently driven wheels, you have a nice redundancy factor. Wheels are less likely to jam up with random junk.A better way to approach the current problem for future probes is to add some mechanism where the wheels can be locked up and the whole unit can be "walked" out of the sand. Although this does add more mechanical bits to fails it does allow for more complex terrain traversal.

It's unbelievable (well, totally believable actually) that the two cop cars were running that fast on a busy street (judging by the # of lanes) without their lights on.I think both cops should be charged with reckless endangerment. Were they just joyriding and having a little fun, or responding to a call?Either way, BOTH officers were in the wrong here. One just happened to be in the wrong lane and going a little faster.

If I jump on this, I might be inclined to actually turn off my PC when it's not in use. As it stands, my boot time is abysmal.
