For Republicans it's Borrow & Spend
Waits is a lyrical genius. For example:"9th & Hennepin"Well it's 9th and HennepinAnd all the donuts haveNames that sound like prostitutesAnd the moon's teeth marks areOn the sky like a tarp thrown over all thisAnd the broken umbrellas likeDead birds and the steamComes out of the grill likeThe whole goddamned town is ready to blow. And the bricks are all scarred with jailhouse tattoosAnd everyone is behaving like dogs. And the horses are coming down Violin RoadAnd Dutch is dead on his feetAnd the rooms all smell like dieselAnd you take on theDreams of the ones who have slept here. And I'm lost in the windowI hide on the stairwayI hang in the curtainI sleep in your hatAnd no one brings anythingSmall into a bar around here. They all started out with bad directionsAnd the girl behind the counter has a tattooed tear,One for every year he's away she said, suchA crumbling beauty, but there'sNothing wrong with her that$100 won't fix, she has that razor sadnessThat only gets worseWith the clang and thunder of theSouthern Pacific going byAs the clock ticks out like a dripping faucetTill you're full of rag water and bitters and blue ruinAnd you spill outOver the side to anyone who'll listenAnd I've seen itAll through the yellow windowsOf the evening train.

“I was under the impression Obama didn't approve of these sort of dirty dealings. Of course, I also thought him and the Democratic leadership agreed to not voting on a bill until the final text had been available for 72 hours and we've thrown that out the window several times already.

I'm sorry, but that is the dumbest thing I have heard. All the tariff does is drive up prices that everyone wanting to replace the tires on their cars. It does absolutely nothing to aid trade; just the opposite. What the tariff really amounts to is an attempt by Obama to pay back the unions for their votes. It is simply amazing what little understanding of basic economics exists on this site.?
This is EXACTLY what I hate about our political machine .... *****! |

Interesting thought, you might as well extend the theory and say each megaverse is just a foton in a hypermegaverse, where all megaverses orbit a central core... This could go on till infinity.

Those aren't shills. Those are customers forced to write those reviews before they were allowed to leave the restaurant.

I personally love the idea of a browser-based OS. In fact, I built one myself on Arch Linux for my Acer Aspire One. Sure, I'm not a normal computer user (I live in CLI), but my habits are mostly the same as anyone else: all my netbook needs is a browser, chat client, pdf reader and terminal/control panel apps. Besides a few specialty tools for my work (LaTeX, and Gnuplot works great along with Python and other UNIX tools), there's nothing much else I think you could really need for a netbook. It's a good idea to cut out the bloat - I think it could be pretty interesting and can't wait till it's ready. Plus that'll mean that Google Video should eventually support Linux too, right? That'd be nice
