(Matthew 24:11-12)So who could have known for a certainty that the world would be subject to "increasing lawlessness" and that the general expectation of warmth for one's fellow man that people once took for granted would be gone? Another lucky guess? Ok, Fine but that's 4 things that could have gone differently--but didn't.--------------------------------------------"For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another..." (Matthew 24:7)Let's skip the argument about how many earthquakes there are now vs. then because people really didn't count them back then. That said, the world could just the same have become more peaceful with the advent of technology--which, theoretically, could also have forestalled food shortages. What do we see? Food shortages? World wars? More coincidence or "verifiable, predictable evidence"? Yes, I know, you're not going to change your opinion. I didn't expect you to because your opinion isn't really based on "evidence". I just wanted to make it a tiny fraction more difficult for you to hold on to it. |
