To be honest canceling it was the right thing to do. The designers failed in their job to project the costs accurately (they weren't even remotely close). In fact IMO they should have canceled it sooner and allocated the money to people who actually gave a ***** about physics instead of money.Basically the Superconducting Supercollider was a welfare project. Which sucks because who knows what advances we could have made if the designers weren't so retarded.edit: I agree that it was a bad thing that it was canceled though.?
