Be there by 3 am, at the latest -the earlier, the better. Even in my small town, we have people lining up on the evening of thanksgiving, and over 1K people will be lined up by 5 am. Bring blankets and dress warm and comfortable. You may want to bring snacks and drinks. But be careful about how much stuff you bring - you don't want to be carrying around a ton of things while shopping, and its going to be extremely crowded. Best Buy is pretty good about Black Friday - they hand out tickets for certain items before the store opens, and as long as you have the ticket, you are guaranteed the item and can pick it up anytime. It can get crazy, but usually isn't violent - the workers and cops are good about keeping people under control.
Why not 2009?

“Ahhh me too. I do like proclaiming things as they strike me though. For example, the above quote would make a fantastic argument against someone who borrows from George Carlin to argue against certain environmental actions :)Basically, I just bookmarked my thoughts for future reference somewhere that someone might read them and offer their opinion on the matter.

I started doing that with people (usually employees) in the restrooms after we closed because I got annoyed with their long "bathroom breaks" when I'm trying to go home. I now get home 20 minutes earlier on an average night..
Windows only has a front door. Unlocked, with an extremely large and well worn "Welcome" mat.!

Being from the Midwest, tornadoes, as dangerous as they are, will not blow away your home every freaking year. There are homes that get flooded every year and the owners cry for help all the time.As for NO, living below sea level hoping a man-made levee will hold forever is a precarious way to live. What if Al Gore is right and sea levels soar, would you live behind a 30 foot high levee??
Well, can you see yourself on there? |

The only thing I dislike about those ads is that it implies that Macs were more reliable than PCs during the days of Windows 3.1 and 95. Now, whether or not it's true now with OSX is debateable, but anyone who was around during the days of System 7, 7.5, 8, etc. knows Macs were just as bad as PCs back then. |
