Maybe they ought to do a cost-benefit analsis here. Other then gaining esoteric (insert basic science research here), what benefit is this to society? We're in a (insert current social/economic/military event here), after allWithout basic research current technology would not exist.

Out here in Kentucky, if you want the turkey done right you stack up a pile of tires, set the turkey in the middle (wrapped in foil, of course) and apply gasoline. Don't forget to light it. Pull the cap on a bottle of the dirty bird and by the time its done, the turkey is too. Enjoy!
