10) Flo Rida - In The Ayer
What? I'm Chinese... word intonation and sentence intonation do not conflict with each other. (although there are significantly more homonyms in Chinese and would cause confusion)For example:你来了? Ni Lai Le? Rising intonation means question (of course when written down this is depicted by a question mark)你来了。 Ni Lai Le. Flat/Falling intonation means statement.你来了! Ni Lai Le! Slightly rising intonation/whatever with a higher voice means exclamation.A crude translation would be: You are here ? / . / ! with different intonations.

As if the cringe worthy sexist subtext of the novels wasn't enough, the movies feature some of the most overwrought acting I've ever seen. The dialog plays out like bad fanfiction, the setting is about as compelling as a desk chair, and the characters have all the depth of a piss stain and are about as appealing.I have no idea what is supposed to the least bit appealing about these books or movies. None. Have people just not read good writing before? Have they not seen a good movie before? The only way I can imagine someone enjoying all of this is by virtue of simply not knowing any better. The really disturbing part is that I'm at university and all of these 18-22 year old girls are just as obsessed with these books as your average middle schooler. These are people I would otherwise respect, and yet here they are obsessing over stories that, aside from being just poorly conceived and written, effectively set women back 50 years.I just... why? Can anyone explain to me why?
I don't think it's implying one causes the others, but I think it's showing a link that gmail and twitter have similar audiences. If anything, it's showing that the type of person who still uses Yahoo Mail probably hasn't heard of Twitter.
